Cloudera has announced the integration of Apache Polaris into its Enterprise AI Anywhere platform, marking a significant step toward enhanced interoperability across open lakehouse environments. The integration enables enterprises to securely access and apply governance to their data regardless of where it is stored, addressing a critical challenge in distributed data architectures. Apache Polaris, an open-source catalog service for Apache Iceberg, provides a unified metadata layer that allows organizations to manage table metadata across multiple compute engines and storage systems.
