Sword Group: Strategic contract with eu-LISA

Sword Services Greece has been awarded a major four-year framework contract worth an estimated 93 million euros to develop and maintain the European Entry/Exit System (EES) for eu-LISA, the European Union Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems. The consortium led by Sword Group includes technology partners Netcompany and Sopra Steria, and was ranked first in the competitive bidding process for this critical border management infrastructure project. The European Entry/Exit System represents a significant technological undertaking that will digitally record the entry and exit of third-country nationals crossing EU external borders. This system is part of the EU's broader digital transformation of border security and migration management, requiring sophisticated database management, biometric processing capabilities, and integration with existing European security systems. The four-year contract encompasses both the initial development phase and ongoing maintenance of this large-scale IT infrastructure that will serve border control authorities across EU member states.
