Quick Research now supports customer managed keys

Amazon Web Services has added customer-managed key (CMK) support to its Amazon QuickSight service, allowing organizations to encrypt their business intelligence data using their own encryption keys through AWS Key Management Service. The enhancement gives enterprises with stringent security and compliance requirements direct control over their encryption keys, enabling them to revoke access to compromised keys within 15 minutes during security incidents and maintain comprehensive audit trails through AWS CloudTrail integration. The implementation supports multiple customer-managed keys with one default key per AWS account per region, providing granular control over different datasets while maintaining security flexibility. Organizations can now trace all data access for security auditing purposes and manage encryption across various business intelligence workloads. The feature requires symmetric AWS KMS keys created in the same AWS account and region as QuickSight resources, and is now generally available across all AWS regions where Amazon QuickSight operates.
