New agentic migration assessment capabilities now available with AWS Transform

Amazon Web Services has expanded its AWS Transform migration platform with new assessment capabilities designed to help enterprises evaluate and plan their cloud migrations more effectively. The updated service now supports what-if scenario modeling, customizable migration assumptions, and flexible data import from multiple sources including RVTools exports, CMDB systems, and third-party discovery tools. Organizations can now adjust parameters such as target regions, resource utilization rates, and service mappings to create tailored migration scenarios. The enhanced platform includes comprehensive total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis across multiple AWS services including EC2, FSx, S3, SQL Server on EC2, and virtual desktop infrastructure. Beyond pure cost modeling, AWS Transform now incorporates additional assessment pillars from the company's Cloud Value Framework, enabling organizations to factor in staff productivity gains, operational resilience improvements, business agility benefits, and sustainability metrics when building migration business cases. The new migration assessment capabilities are available across all AWS regions where AWS Transform is currently offered, providing enterprises with expanded tools to accelerate migration decision-making and develop optimized cloud adoption strategies with greater confidence in projected outcomes.
