Amazon EC2 C7i-flex, M7i-flex & M7i instances now available in Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region

Amazon Web Services has expanded availability of its latest EC2 instance families to the Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region, bringing C7i-flex, M7i-flex, and M7i instances powered by custom 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors to the Indian market. The custom Sapphire Rapids processors, exclusive to AWS, deliver up to 15% better performance compared to comparable x86-based Intel processors used by other cloud providers, according to the company. The C7i-flex and M7i-flex instances target general-purpose workloads including web servers, virtual desktops, batch processing, and microservices, offering up to 19% better price-performance than their C6i and M6i predecessors. These instances are available in sizes ranging from large to 16xlarge. Meanwhile, the full M7i instances provide up to 15% better price-performance than M6i and scale to 48xlarge, making them suitable for high-intensity workloads like gaming servers, CPU-based machine learning, and video streaming. The M7i bare-metal configurations include built-in Intel accelerators such as Data Streaming Accelerator, In-Memory Analytics Accelerator, and QuickAssist Technology for enhanced data operation performance.
