Amazon CloudWatch Logs announces increased query result limits

Amazon Web Services has increased the query result limits for CloudWatch Logs Insights from 10,000 to 100,000 results, allowing customers to retrieve significantly larger datasets through a single query. The enhancement enables users to specify result limits using the LIMIT command in the Logs Insights query language, eliminating the previous need to split queries into smaller time ranges to access comprehensive log data. The update also includes improvements to the GetQueryResults API, which now supports pagination functionality. Each API call can return up to 10,000 results along with a continuation token for retrieving subsequent result sets. Customers can access the expanded query capabilities through the CloudWatch console, AWS CLI, AWS CDK, and AWS SDKs across all commercial AWS regions, with full support for existing features including pattern analysis, visualization tools, and data export functions.
