Amazon Quick generates dashboards from natural language prompts

Amazon Web Services has launched Generate Analysis for Amazon QuickSight, a new feature that automatically creates business intelligence dashboards from natural language descriptions. Users can now describe their desired dashboard in plain English, select up to three datasets, and receive a complete dashboard with relevant visualizations, filter controls, and calculated fields like year-over-year growth metrics. The feature reduces dashboard creation time from hours of manual configuration to just minutes. The Generate Analysis capability integrates with existing QuickSight workflows, supporting embedding, CI/CD pipelines, and traditional point-and-click editing. Users can provide high-level descriptions such as "create a sales performance dashboard with revenue trends, regional comparisons, and month-over-month growth" and receive a functional dashboard ready for customization. The feature is currently available to Enterprise subscription and Author Pro users, with promotional access extended to other authors through December 2026. The service is now generally available across all AWS regions where Amazon QuickSight operates. This launch represents AWS's continued integration of generative AI capabilities into its business intelligence platform, aiming to democratize dashboard creation for users without extensive technical expertise in data visualization.
