Mr. Campbell is currently Chief
Information Officer at SpiralFrog, an advertising supported digital
music service, overseeing technical strategies, operations and services. Prior to joining SpiralFrog he
served as the first Chief Information Officer at the New York State Office of
Homeland Security and was responsible for establishing the agency's
information technology and communications infrastructure as well as the
development and implementation of the first in the nation Counter
Terrorism Network. The Counter Terrorism Network is an essential web
based tool running on a private network for sharing critical homeland
security information with state and local law enforcement.
While at the Office of Homeland Security, Mr. Campbell served on
committees and boards including, the State Integrated Justice Advisory
Board, The New York State CIO Council, and the New York State
Intelligence Advisory Task Force.
As CIO for the Office of Homeland Security, Mr. Campbell was also the
New York State Point of Contact for the federal Homeland Security
Information Network where he played an instrumental role in establishing
the Homeland Security Information Network Northeast Region Portal.
Prior to his state service, Mr. Campbell was Manager, Open Systems
Development for Proginet Corporation, Garden City, New York, a software
company which was partly owned by Microsoft. Mr. Campbell worked closely
with Microsoft's engineering teams to develop security synchronization
software.
At Proginet Mr. Campbell lead the team responsible for development of
the companies managed file transfer and password management product
lines. He also engaged in consulting assignments to companies in the
Utilities, Securities, and Banking sectors.
Mr. Campbell is a graduate from Long Island University, C.W. Post with a
Bachelors of Science degree in Information Systems including coursework in
broadcast communications. He has given several presentations on
information technology, including to the
Homeland Security Council of New York State, and is a member of the
Association for Computing Machinery.
